RTL Electric, Inc. was established in 1983 and has been in business for over 20 years. The firm, originally located in Springfield, Va. moved to its current location in Chantilly, Va. in 1989. The firm was founded and is owned by Robert and Thomas Lawall, who are actively engaged in the day to day management of the business.

Robert Lawall has over 15 years of field experience in addition to Master Electrical licenses in Maryland, Virginia, and the District. Thomas Lawall has a business degree from Virginia Tech and a construction management background. Together they have built a successful and financially sound organization prepared for continued, managed growth in the coming years.

The business has grown steadily over the years. RTL has become a mid-size electrical contractor serving the commercial building market in the Washington D.C. metropolitian area. Many employees have 10 years or more of service with the company, and RTL employs up to 80 electricians.

RTL performs work exclusively in the commercial electrical market place. Contracts primarily consist of new construction, tenant fit-outs and alterations of: office buildings, warehouses, hospitals, schools, industrial, manufacturing and retail businesses.

Our preferred project size is in the range of $50,000.00 to $2,000,000.00. The company is licensed and insured throughout the Metro area and can provide bonds when required.

RTL's goal on every project undertaken is to exceed the client's expectations. To accomplish this objective we employ a superior field work force with the continuous oversight by Project Managers under the direction of active owners.
